Located in Atlanta, Skyland Trail is a nonprofit mental health treatment organization offering residential and day treatment programs for adults ages 18 and older.
We specialize in treating adults ages 18 and older with bipolar illness, major depression, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, anxiety disorders, as well as patients who have complex diagnoses, such as both substance misuse and another mental illness or personality disorders.
We accept several major insurance plans. We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.
Services Our holistic treatment model integrates strategies to help clients improve mental health, physical wellness, spiritual strength and relationships with family and friends.
Our recovery communities include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, dual diagnosis, social integration and young adult/first episode.
In addition to helping our clients through effective medications and psychotherapy, we offer art, music, horticultural and recreation therapies; pastoral counseling; and family therapy .
In classroom-like settings, we educate clients about their mental illness and teach strategies they can use to cope with stress and prevent relapse.
We are one of only a few programs in the country to integrate medical care and mental health treatment.
A comprehensive diagnostic assessment service is available to help clarify and specify interventions that may best result in recovery.
