My approach to psychotherapy:

I believe that treatment should be individualized based on the individual client’s needs, strengths, resources and goals. Because of this, I use a variety of therapeutic approaches:

Cognitive – learning how our thinking impacts emotions and behaviour and challenging that thinking where necessary to make desired changes

Interpersonal – looking beyond just the individual to explore the importance of relationships (both at home and at work) on current functioning

Educational – giving clients factual information they need to help them create new options, understand themselves and their environment.

Experiential - using guided imagery, drawing, and other non-verbal means to explore issues (this does not include hypnosis)

I advocate a treatment team approach. What this means is that I will help people get connected with other community and professional resources that will help them reach their goals more effectively.

Sharon is a nice person. Im sure she means well. Her skills are average. She does not know how to end sessions with a client or how to terminate with clients appropriately. Her boindaries are confusing and change without notice.
Her office is friendly and warm.
