Mark became interested in acupuncture after being diagnosed with a tumor in his pituitary gland. He endured surgeries, radiation and other medical treatments during this time. Acupuncture helped him with not only his physical pain, side effects of treatment, and stress but it also helped him to grow spiritually. He was inspired to become an acupuncturist to help other people facing similar situations.
Mark currently assists his patients with pain management and improvement of overall wellness. Marks goal with every patient is to guide them onto a path of health, happiness and success through education and empowerment. Along with acupuncture, he also practices herbal medicine, wellness coaching and nutrition counseling. Mark has special training in pediatric and geriatric medicine. In addition, he is currently a faculty member and clinical supervisor at Tai Sophia Institute.
Marks education includes a masters degree in acupuncture from Tai Sophia Institute, a bachelors degree in marketing from the University of Maryland College Park and intensive training in Chinese and Western herbal medicine and nutrition. He is also certified by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. Mark is licensed to practice acupuncture in the state of Maryland.
Mark has offices in Ocean City, Maryland (142nd St Bayside) and Columbia, Maryland (Shaker Drive).
