At A Healing Place I offer traditional therapeutic massage, pre and post natal, Hot Stone Massage, Reiki and CranioSacral Therapy.

My traditional massages deliver a combination of deep therapeutic benefit and deeply relaxing techniques that allow your mind to transcend the mundane.

Most massages begin with deep cranial relaxation, scalp massage and cervical alignment. Once you are relaxed I focus on the upper back and shoulders to help relieve the weight of the world that we all carry around with us. Legs, arms, hands and back are all given special attention. The massage usually ends with a relaxing peppermint foot massage.

I believe that massage can help our bodies to heal on many different levels. Allowing our bodies to unwind and unfold into a state without tension, or stress helps our natural physiological processes to work more effectively, giving more energy toward healing dis-ease.

Craniosacral therapy is a light touch therapy that focuses on re-balancing the cerebral spinal fluid within the skull and spinal column. This allows the central nervous system to correct imbalances. This therapy has been effective in treating PTSD, TMJ, migraines, whiplash and more.

I used to go to Sonja once a month when I lived in Northampton to treat myself to a 1 hour deep tissue massage. It's was very much worth it to me. I would get this 'relaxed feeling' that could last for up to 2 weeks after and I really felt the benefits were very helpful. Everyone should try it at least once...you'll go back, I promise! lol
