I am a state licensed and nationally certified massage therapist, graduating from the Baltimore School of Massage in 2005 after many, many years of curiosity regarding alternative therapies. I am trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial release, Posturology, Hot Stone, Aromatherapy, and Prenatal massage.
In addition to this I have been practicing Reiki for over ten years which has been vital in increasing sensitivity in my work. I am beginning to study Craniosacral therapy which also addresses tension from physical and emotional stress. Both of these modalities encourage deep focus and creating a space in the body where the client can heal.
I use a combination of various techniques to tailor each massage to my clients' needs. I also encourage self care including exercise, stretching, postural awareness, and stress management. Allowing people to become aware of their own bodies is essential to begin the healing process.
