As a counselor I like challenging my clients to embrace life - to seize the moment. I believe the key to successful counseling is working collaboratively together to empower my clients to explore their situation and find unique solutions that work for them. Among my professional interests are life transitions, play therapy, parenting, grief and loss, and diversity issues. I provide counseling services to children (Play Therapy),youth, adults, couples, and groups that promote emotional, mental, social and spiritual well being.

They listened closely to everything I was telling them, and showed a lot of attention to detail. I've never had to worry about them forgetting something or not reading my information correctly, which I've encountered at other places. I couldn't believe how kind and compassionate they were. They showed genuine concern for me and my situation, and I knew that I could always count on their sound advise and support. When I arrived for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed. Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been months since my last appointment. They are so thoughtful and amazingly sweet, I just love this place. They always make sure to return my phone call as soon as possible. They've never left me waiting.

Dr. Makri is excellent. One of the best I have ever used.
