Dr. Denning is a pioneer in neuro-psych therapy which works directly with your experiences to create new behavior to stress triggers. As the founder of Adaptive Behavioral Therapy Research Foundation Inc, Dr. Denning works to combine science clinical research and ways in which anxiety develops into reactions, patterns and symptoms.
Dr. Denning has a blog - My Anxiety Notebook- on Wordpress. Overview The Adaptive Behavioral method for restructuring behavior in response to stress is based on evidence of the neural plasticity of the brain. Adaptive Behavioral therapy views the past behaviors as adaptations to the way the child and adolescent experienced the world in which they lived. Adaptive behavioral therapists do not focus on stories and symptoms but on the main message absorbed by the person about the world and the self in it. Thoughts are not regarded as distortions. Developmental adaptations are made in response to the fundamental message absorbed in the social, interpersonal relationships of experiencing self; in accord or in opposition or as experimentation to continue to grow in the environment. The brain learned behavior and continues to apply that response to similar situations.
