Counseling is not magic! It is a process of change, and its an experience.
During therapy with an individual, couple, or family, my aim will be to assist you in making the changes that you believe are important. We will set goals together so that we can measure our progress in working together.
Throughout my studies I have focused primarily on the relationships between men and women and have enjoyed counseling with individuals and with couples. Theoretically, I align myself in the school of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT), adhering primarily to the theory of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). This style of counseling focuses primarily on the thoughts and ideas that influence emotions and behaviors. Although I have a preference for this style, I am most interested in exercising flexibility for the sake of my clients, which means that I am able to adapt my counseling style, should you not be well suited for CBT or REBT.
I consider it a privilege to work alongside those seeking to grow. Please contact me at 817-944-5360 or travisjoneslpc@att.net to arrange for your first appointment.
