Services Relax and Rejuvenate: Swedish, Pregnancy, Elder, Reflexology, Reiki and Chakra Balancing
Swedish: Classic western massage therapy aimed to improve circulation by using flowing strokes such as kneading, rhythmic tapping, compression, vibration, and light pressure touch.

Pregnancy and Elder: Pregnancy and Elder massage are adaptations of Swedish massage using therapeutic touch to increase awareness, provide soothing relief to muscles and joints and an overall experience of relaxation. Care is given to design sessions with the utmost consideration of medical issues and client wellbeing.

Reflexology: Reflexology is an ancient healing art based on the principles that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that correspond to every part, organ and gland in the body. Benefits include improved circulation, detoxification, reduced tension and enhancing the bodys ability to heal itself.

Reiki: Reiki universal Life force energy,is a form of healing developed by a Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui, in the early part of the 20th century. Pronounced ray-key, this complementary therapy is passed from master to apprentice. The reiki practitioner serves as a conduit of universal chi for the purpose of improving the health and well-being of the client.

Chakra Balancing: Chakra balancing and other energy therapies are based on the belief that the body has seven main energy centers along the spine which absorb and emit life force. These energy centers are referred to as chakras. Your session will likely include an assessment, mixture of breath exercises, meditation and movement therapy so loose-fitting clothes are always the most comfortable for any bending, stretching or meditation exercises.

Deep Tissue: Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Connective Tissue and Sport
Myofacial, Connective Tissue and Trigger Point: A more intense type of massage treatment addressing the bodys deeper muscle layers to release tension. Deep Tissue massage is recommended for individuals suffering from muscle pain due to stress and/or injuries.
Sports: Combination of various massage techniques to alleviate soreness and pain, promote flexibility, loosen tight muscles, and lessen recovery time after injury. Excellent for athletes and active individuals.

Asian Bodywork & Flow: Shiatsu, Cranio- Sacral, Manual Lymphatic Drainage,
Shiatsu: Shiatsu is a form of manipulation therapy that uses thumbs, fingers, and palms to apply pressure to the body. Originating from Japan, shiatsu has been used to correct and maintain bone structure, joints, tendons, muscles, and meridian lines for thousands of years.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy: Cranio-Sacral Therapy, or CST, is a gentle hands-on manipulation of a physiological body system called the cranio-sacral system. This system is comprised of the soft tissue and bones of the cranium (or head), the spine and the pelvis. Massage therapists that perform cranio-sacral therapy also target the membranes and cerebrospinal fluids that surround and cushion the brain and spinal cord from injury during a therapy session.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage: Lymphatic massage, also known as lymphatic drainage, is a gentle form of massage that stimulates the lymphatic system to improve metabolism, promote the removal of bodily toxins and waste, and encourages a healthy immune system. The actual massage consists of gentle pressured and pumping movements towards the direction of the lymph nodes throughout the body. The procedure uses the deep thumb pressure of shiatsu combined with the relaxing techniques of the
Swedish massage. Depending on whether the therapist is focused on only one specific area or is working on the entire body, a session can last anywhere between half an hour to two hours in length.

Laura is a caring professional. She has a great location with convenient parking. Her facility is clean and tastefully decorated. She asked the right questions and formulated a strategy to meet my needs. I slipped on some ice a month ago, landing on my left shoulder, resulting in pain when I raised my left arm shoulder high. After this one session I was able to raise my left arm above my head without any pain. Wow!
