Often had to reschedule appointments, because, as a student with a part time job, I did not HAVE 2 hours to sit in the waiting room past my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Sprecher also called me "honey", "dear", "sweetie", and "kiddo", despite me asking him multiple times to stop, that it was disrespectful. He replied with "I don't mean anything by it". I don't CARE what you MEAN. *I* find it disrespectful and I'm asking you to STOP. If my name were Angela (it's not), and he insisted on calling me Angie when I said I preferred Angela, disrespectful, yes? So intimate terms of endearment from a DOCTOR certainly cross a line. He also asked questions about my sexual activity that I did not consider appropriate. When dealing with back pain, I think it is reasonable for a provider to ask if you have pain with sex, or if your pain interferes with intimacy. Asking about specific positions and other details is just plain creepy.
