About
The adage, “Where you stumble, there lies your treasure” as coined by Joseph Campbell is the philosophy underlying Greta’s work with relationships, stress, loss, depression, breakdown and disillusionment. With Masters Degrees in Psychology and Theology, Greta uses a multi-disciplinary and common sense approach to helping couples who are in crisis and breakdown find new possibilities in their relationship, or come to a peaceful resolution.
Professionally, Greta was Director of Clinical Training and Supervisor at The La Vie Center in Pasadena for eleven years. As Staff Therapist for five years at Passages Treatment Center for addictive disorders in Malibu, Greta treated the relational and biological aspect of dependency. In addition to Greta’s service as a therapist/mediator with Settlement Works, in Marina del Rey, CA, she is co-founder of The Concordance Project, a new paradigm for communication within challenged families. (“A World in Harmony, One Family at a Time”).
She is a frequent guest speaker on a wide variety of relationship topics, and is an established teacher of Compassionate Communication. Her Masters Degrees in Psychology and Theology are the foundation for an education that includes the lifelong study of Modern Psychology and Ancient Wisdom. She has traveled through out the world (Peru, Egypt, Crete, Philippines, England, Korea, China) studying Kabbalah, Shamanism, and Energy Medicine. In Los Angeles, Greta has pursued studies in the Enneagram, Rumi’s poetry, Campbell’s Hero’s Journey and the Wisdom Traditions. Personally, Greta has a passion for dancing, the beauty of nature, the exploding field of neurobiology and expansive conversations on love, sex and God.
Greta sees clients both in her office and online through skype or phone appointments. Her private practice is located in Santa Monica, CA.
