Welcome to Elite Nutrition and Performance; the midland's first and only comprehensive nutrition and fitness private practice. Founded by registered dietitian and certified personal trainer, Kristen Tice, who noticed an overwhelming need for a qualified food, nutrition and fitness professional in the community. Why the name Elite Nutrition and Performance you might ask? Elite, meaning "select" or "the best." And Nutrition and Performance because Kristen carefully combines her skills and expertise to prepare you to prepare you to perform your best in while competing in your sport of choice and throughout the daily game we call life. Kristen helps individuals who are lacking food and nutrition-related knowledge, the confidence and support and feel lost when putting all the pieces together to improve their health and performance in any situation.

Services include individual nutrition counseling, meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking lessons and demonstrations, personal training and public speaking.

Services Are you struggling through your workouts and training sessions? Are you having trouble finding that balance between eating for pleasure and eating for better health, weight loss or athletic performance? Take the guess work out of your meal planning and have a nutrition expert develop an individually tailored nutrition plan just for you. Whether you are looking to gain or lose weight, are training for an athletic event or have a chronic disease, there is a plan for you!


One-on-One Nutrition Counseling:

For your initial session, you will be asked to bring a 3-day food record so that a better understanding of your current diet can be determined. During this session, Kristen will ask you a series of questions to learn more about you, your health history, exercise habits and goals. Education will be provided if needed, as well as an individualized plan and goals for you to work on until your next follow-up session. Your follow-up sessions will serve to assist you with your continued problems, provide more education if necessary and make any necessary changes to your plan.

Initial Nutrition Session:
Initial nutrition sessions are for new clients and returning clients that have not been seen in over a year. All new clients must sign up for an initial session. Your session will last an hour and may be conducted in person or over the phone. During this session, your goals, weight, exercise and medical history will be evaluated. The dietitian will also perform a diet analysis on the provided 3-day food record and compared to your determined nutritional needs. Based on your assessment, the dietitian will provide you with education, meal planning, goal setting or anything else you need at the time. You will then arrange a time to meet for a follow up session to determine your progress and needs. You will be contacted to set up your appointment time.

 
Follow Up Nutrition Session:
Follow-up sessions are reserved only for returning clients and will last 30 minutes. During this session your progress will be evaluated and you will be given a new plan to further your progress until you reach your goals. You will be contacted to set up your appointment time.
 
Individualized Meal Plans:
This option is for those who have a good food and nutrition knowledge base but need some extra guidance with meal planning. This takes the guess work out of your day-to-day meal planning. Your meal plan will be written specifically for you based on your food preferences, goals and activity level. You will be provided with a one-week meal plan. You will be contacted to set up a time to speak with the dietitian. 

One-on-One Personal Training

One-on-one personal training sessions are designed specifically for you! Your personalized exercise program will be designed around any injuries or limitations you may have and will help you reach your personal goals. This type of training is best for those with special considerations, including injuries, diseases or conditions that prevent you from engaging in normal exercise. One-on-one training is also recommended for those who are new to exercise and need extra assistance, or those who have been exercising for years and are in need of something new to shake up their routine.
 
 

Group Personal Training
 
Group personal training sessions are available for those who are watching their budget but need some extra assistance with their exercise routine. This option is available for groups of up to three people and is recommended for those who have a basic level of fitness and are around the same level of fitness.
 
Exercise Plans

This option is for those who just want an individualized plan that they can perform on their own. This includes a consultation and exercise testing. Clients will receive a written plan and support for a month until it is time to revamp the exercise plan.
