Paula Martinac is a nutrition educator and holistic health coach with an M.S. in Health and Nutrition Education. She spent the first 20 years of her career as a writer, editor, and journalist, until a cancer diagnosis forever changed the way she viewed health and wellness. Although she survived cancer through conventional surgery and medicine, she thrived thanks to nutritional healing and complementary treatments. She now counsels others who would like to make the journey to a healthier life in which they feel better, stronger, calmer and more energized. She also writes regularly on nutrition and health topics for various websites. Her special research and coaching interests include stress-busting, cancer prevention and survival, weight loss and management, healthy aging, and women’s health issues.
Paula calls her practice “Nutrition U,” because she believes we all need to go “back to school” when it comes to our relationship to food and health. Many of us have gotten off track, thinking of food as something that needs to be quick and cheap rather than fuel for our many bodily functions. In her practice, she counsels and educates people – individually and in groups – on holistic health and wellness strategies that focus on food and nutrition, dietary supplements and herbs, relaxation and stress management, and physical exercise, helping them to create and follow individualized health plans.
Some of the things Nutrition U can help you learn to do are:
