My emphasis is holistic massage, a type of massage therapy that focuses upon a person as a whole being. "What does holistic mean?" Holistic comes from the Greek root word “holos” which means “whole, entire, total.” Rather than simply treating symptoms associated with stress and pain, holistic massage also directs clients to examine the cause of stress, pain and improve their life with balance in all things. By recognizing that illness and stress affect not only our physical but also our emotional, spiritual and mental well-being, holistic massage allows the body's natural healing abilities to come forth and balance the entire body as a whole. The aim is to rebalance the body so it achieves homeostasis or balance.
