If you visit the Springfield Optician office in Springfield, PA, there is a great chance you will be subject of discriminatory treatment, denial of service and be humiliated. Do you expect to be treated like a customer in this office? Forget about it if you see Janice Samano- Piorkowski, the owner who inherited the business from her father, Peter Samano. I have had eye exam done for my father, wife and myself at the Springfield Optician office since 2013. When I and my wife came for getting our next eye exam on November 15, 2016, we experienced what storm could be blown in your face if Janice was in bad mood. When my wife asked her for a copy of her record so that my wife could review the trend in her vision changes, Janice got very angry. Maybe she thought we were asking for the records because we were about to move to another optician office. I can only guess. Janice told me that she would not accept us as customers at her office anymore. Furthermore, she cancelled the scheduled appointment for my father, 85 years old, who was not with us in the office that day. When I asked why she was doing it to my father, Janice started to yell at me that she did not want to see anyone from my family. I have never seen such disrespect to the customers. You can be humiliated at a whim of the office manager. Springfield Opticians have two other offices. So please be aware that as said at the Springfield Opticians website: “you can receive the same great services that the original Springfield office has to offer”.
