After breaking my knee cap and surgery I went to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Rehab Services for physical therapy with Eileen Casey. At the 4th session the PT said she couldn’t do anything further with me until the surgeon had cleared me with “no limitations”. That put my next appt. three weeks out. Granted I am diligent about daily doing the exercises given but it felt a long time. My next visit immediately followed seeing the surgeon who released me with no limitations and the instruction “you should begin strengthening now at the guidance of a PT.” The PT did an assessment and said “you’re done”. The prior appointment she said she couldn’t begin to push me until we had clearance from the surgeon and then we’re just done? No inquiring where my leg still felt weakened. (My hamstrings were not any part of the exercises given.) No making sure I knew clearly what I should be doing for the next 9 months or the thought of checking in. No suggestions of what activities would be beneficial. She wondered if she put me on machines how I could replicate this at home...leg weights or maybe just the extra strengthening the machines would provide as I continued exercises at home! This felt very incomplete. This 5th and final visit no PT was even done; only an assessment. There are lots of machines. She put me on the elliptical once. I’m now seeing a different PT in another practice. I don’t recommend this PT.
