Cristina Lima is a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is also a neurotherapist with training in neurofeedback. She holds a PhD in Counseling and Counselor Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the East Tennessee State University. Cristina Lima has an extensive experience of more than 15 years of counseling practice in other states and abroad, working with a variety of clients in individual, couples, and families, addressing a number of issues including couples and families, chronic illnesses, mental health, and existential issues. She is originally from Brazil, where she is a Specialist in Health Psychology and in Clinical Psychology, and she can provide counseling in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Her approach in counseling is systemic, multicultural, and phenomenological, meaning that she values each client as a unique person in a specific context in life. She believes in growth and possibilities, and her passion for counseling leads her to see each client in a special relationship.
