Originally from Los Angeles, Dr. Lisa M. DeTournay was in practice in Miami for 25 years before returning to the San Fernando Valley with her family in 2014 to establish herself in a new podiatric practice. She graduated from UCLA in 1982 with a B.S. in Kinesiology (the study of movement), then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, graduating as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1987. She completed her Podiatric Surgical Residency in Miami and has been Board Certified in Foot Surgery with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery since 1993. Dr. DeTournay is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, and has been an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association since 1989.
Dr. DeTournay specializes in forefoot deformities (bunions, hammertoes, neuromas, etc.) and heel pain, and incorporates conservative homeopathic treatment methods where applicable. She also has had long-term clinical experience with Wound Care, foot and ankle trauma, and diabetic patients.
Thanks to her 27 years of residence in Miami, FL, Dr. DeTournay speaks Spanish fluently.
