Our goal is to educate each patient and begin a relevant treatment program with the highest quality of care available. Located in Alexandria, VA, NOVA Foot & Ankle Center is a Full Service Facility for Podiatric Medical Care. We have in-house X-ray, offer physical therapy for rehabilitation of foot and ankle injuries, and an operating room suite for minor foot surgery.

We treat patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics, and our goal is to provide you with the most comfortable office experience possible. Our philosophy is to treat each podiatric patient as though we were treating our own family’s feet. Our qualified staff is friendly and will ensure a pleasant visit.

Education Dr. Kostadinka Hadzijska Skandeva completed her undergraduate studies at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Skandeva continued on to study podiatric medicine at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, OH, from where she received an award for Academic Achievement and Excellence in Clinical/Research Work in Diabetic Foot Wound Care.
Training Upon graduation, she completed her residency training at Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond, VA, which included comprehensive training in primary podiatric medicine as well as foot and ankle surgery, and diabetic foot and wound care.
Certification Dr. Skandeva is Board Eligible by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, and is a Member of the Virginia Podiatric Medical Association.
