Lauren Pearlman is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy Intern working towards dual licensure. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. She is an EMDR therapist and has experience working with a diverse population. This diverse population includes working with children, adolescents, adults, groups, couples and families who may be struggling with different life stressors. Her client profile covers a wide range of issues from depression, anxiety, ADHD and other behavioral issues, to grief, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, personality disorders, and helping couples and families work through relationship issues.
Lauren’s role as the therapist is to help work in conjunction with you to identify solutions to move towards healing. Each client is seen as an individual with individual needs and treatment is tailored to those specific needs. She believes that providing a non-judgmental, genuine and trustworthy relationship is at the core of counseling and her theoretical basis is a Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach. She also incorporates other modalities such as Family Systems, Solution-Focused, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and EMDR.
