My experence at Kindred Bay Area has been amazing. The people are very friendly. The staff have been very friendly especially Nurse Pam, Tech Mayola, and Tech Vivian. They went above and beyond what was required. They made sure I got everything I needed and I didn't have to ask for it. Amanda was awesome also. Armando in Rehab department is great and very helpful as was as all physical therapy staff. Respiratory therapy was great. Cindy, Amy, and Laura that worked on the weekends were really helpful. Wound Care employee Lauren is a character!! She took great care of me and was very helpful. She kept me laughing. Mrs. Fun the Dietician was very sweet. She was on vacation and upon her return she checked in on me, I thought that was very sweet. The Quality of food was excellent. You would not have known it was hospital food. Dr. Patel is a very good doctor. He runs a tight ship. It's easier to listen to him, rather than argue. He really wants the best for his patients. Dr. Syed the pulmonologist is very good. He got all my lung issues under control and answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand. This hospital was clean and the housekeepers did a great job at kepting my room clean. I would really recommend Kindred Hospital Bay Area to anyone in this area that needs specialized care. The team here does a great job and shows great consideration and care for their patients. I really appreciate you all for helping me to continue moving forward in pursuing a healthier future. Thank you all so much!
I'd been a patient at Kindred Hospital Bay Area in 2015, so when I was told I would need long term care again I knew Kindred was the place I wanted to go. I am confident in the care I receive here and am comfortable with the employees, it was so nice to see a few familiar faces. All staff members are very caring and conscious of a patient's needs and safety! Although the whole nursing team is great, I have 3 shining stars to recognize: Tina, Felix, and Ester! Tina is always on time with my IVs and pain medicine and made sure I was comfortable and warm , Felix comforted me when I was initially admitted and had a little it of anxiety, and Ester sat and discussed my discharge plans and made me feel better about transitioning to a lower level of care. Other departments that are phenomenal are Wound Care, Physical Therapy, Dietary, Maintenance, and Patient Relations.. all are A1! I love Sally in Dietary, she has spoiled me since my first admission here. I have to mention how prompt Eddison in maintenance was, he came in and fixed my bedside sink, and he was so kind to me while doing so! Selina in Patient Relations was very helpful and got me the information I needed - I love her, she's so good and sweet. Housekeeping and Security were even awesome during my stay, my room was kept spotless and I felt safe going out for fresh air at night with security in the building. The Physical Therapy team taught me several new exercises I can do at home and I definitely got stronger here to be able to move on! Overall I give this facility 5 stars! You can't stay anywhere better than Kindred Bay Area!
