About
Susan Langan, MA, LCPC, AMFT, NCC
Life's journey is unpredictable. Perhaps you're making a major life change. Or maybe you're feeling anxious, sad, unfocused, or just plain stuck. You might be having trouble eating, sleeping, concentrating, or relating to others. You may be worried about someone close to you: a son, daughter, spouse, partner, or parent. As your therapist, I can help you find solutions that work for you. You will gain tools to create productive behaviors, heal emotional wounds, and lead a more joyful and authentic life. You are welcome for individual counseling, or as part of a couple or family.
Treating your particular concerns is my main focus. The mission of Active Alliance Counseling is to provide caring connections and evidence-based treatments for enhanced functioning and wellbeing. An active alliance means that I see you as a whole person who is empowered, willing to collaborate, and experiment with change.
Experienced in wellness planning, I'll help you review diet, exercise and other items in your toolbox. Trained in family counseling, I'm certified with Prepare-Enrich for pre-marital and marital assessment. With additional MFA and MBA backgrounds, I incorporate books, movies, personal organization, and leadership training when appropriate.
