About
The Mews
The Mews is a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, dedicated to keeping senior citizens living independently in Greenwich as long as possible. We attract residents from close and far, including Greenwich, Cos Cob, Darien, Rye, and other communities throughout the Northeast. It is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. Volunteers from Hortulus, Garden Club and other organizations, supplement a devoted, long-term team of professionals providing for The Mews residents.
Built in 1970, The Mews was the first senior living residence in downtown Greenwich. Enlarged and upgraded throughout the years, the non-profit Mews lives on today as a testimony to Mrs. Rockefeller's vision and compassion for others.
