Mr. Farr knows that loving care and a sense of belonging, along with affordability and value, are important factors when choosing a senior community. The close involvement of the Farr family, along with the carefully selected and trained staff, assure the “Cedars Way” of dignifying and enriching the lives of the residents who choose The Cedars of Austin.
Our independent living residents can choose between a one or two bedroom apartment featuring a full kitchen and plenty of storage. Residents may add any or all of our a la carte services, such as meals and housekeeping, or remain totally self-sufficient. If residents bring their car, underground heated parking is also available.
For our assisted living residents, The Cedars of Austin not only provides a beautiful and comfortable place to live, but also the daily care and assistance they require. A Personal Service Plan is created for all of our assisted living residents, assuring that the highest quality of services and support is provided. Fees are based on each resident’s individual needs as determined by a comprehensive assessment and orders from their doctor. This permits our residents to maintain their independence, dignity and allows for freedom of choice.
Our memory care program combines our homelike, family atmosphere with specialized care and unique programming designed specifically for each resident’s individual requirements. Our smaller neighborhood environment provides a safe and secure setting, promoting one-on-one connections between staff and residents. In 1985, Darrel Farr renovated the Red Cedar Inn to create The Cedars of Austin.
