OUR MISSION STATEMENT: We all share the goal of helping each resident achieve a more satisfying lifestyle by providing compassionate, quality care.
Uncoditional love...OUR PHILOSOPHY: When the heartbeat of life slows, love is the greatest resource in caring and living with Elderly. A HOME OF OUR OWN is not simply a home for meeting the needs of elderly people; it exists for the purpose of providing "heart" and "peace" of mind to those we serve and their families.
We provide care for ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents, walker or wheelchair dependent. We also care for a small ratio of the following: insulin dependent diabetic, uses Oxygen, residents with catheter. We have both a Dementia & Hospice Waiver: Alzheimer's and Dementia Care patient are accepted and Hospice arrangements are made available to those in need. Respite care is available.
Other SERVICES: An individualized treatment plan after hospitalization coordinated with the patient's MD, Medical Social Worker, Physical Therapist and RNs from Home Health Agencies, including but not limited to special wound care, speech therapy, etc; in-house doctors: routine checkups monthly by patient's MD. We monitor residents weight, blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Podiatrist scheduled for home visits bimonthly.
ACTIVITIES: Our planned activity program includes arrangements for utilization of community resources, such as the local Senior Center,
luncheons at our favorite restaurants, celebrating birthdays and all major holidays, picnics at local parks, story reading and meaningful music, performed by our pianist through the years.

A HOME OF OUR OWN is a family owned and operated Residential Care Facility for the Elderly, conveniently located in Livermore Valley, among the vineyards.
