I am a medical oncologist with expertise in the treatment of patients undergoing stem cell transplantation. My laboratory’s research focuses on strategies to modulate the immune system in bone marrow transplant patients to improve outcomes.  A major approach that we are currently developing is targeting the bacteria that live in the intestinal tract to reduce the risks of graft-versus-host disease
