Doctor Sarah Teitell is not an experienced doctor. She is also very condescending and rude to patients of color and their parents. She tried to switch me to another doctor on the day of my appointment. She is just out of residency and has only worked at Mount Sinai for three months. Yet she gives diagnosises that she is not clinically qualified to give. Parents and patients beware! Doctor Teitell is a narcissist and possibly psychotic. Doctor Teitell filled out the wrong form for my school and included an incorrect diagnosis that my mother and I may have to fight her in court to amend or retract. She gave this diagnosis on the first visit. She doesn't even know me. When I tried to speak to her on the phone about the error, she gives the receptionists excuses about why she cannot speak to me. I had to contact patient services and then the Directing Doctor, Doctor Turner, to be able to talk to her. In the conversation, she constantly threatens to hang up. Parents of teens turning 18 beware! She will use the proxy change to try to prevent your parents from helping you. Mout Sinai Staff will not help you get the proxy back. Even the MyChart Help Desk will not help you, however, you can get give the proxy back to your parents via the MyChart app. Just search the menu to find out how. I am now awaiting the Directing Doctor's decision on this matter and my mother may have to sue Doctor Teitell, and Mount Sinai to amend or retract what she did. I am a young man with a bright and promising future. And she is trying to destroy me via my medical record. If I could, I would give her Zero stars. She is a nightmare! Please Beware!
