Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: As a biology major in college, I had not thought about what career to take. Having had a pediatric kidney disease, I had an interest in medicine. After taking my MCATs and doing well, I applied to medical school and got in on an early acceptance. After spending time in medical school, my focus changed to rheumatology due to my mother's autoimmune disease. After a short time working in the field, I decided this was the direction to go. I love diagnosing and treating autoimmune diseases in rheumatology. What I want my patients to know about me: I am very straightforward and will not hold back information.

Not patient centered. I waited for the doctor to see me and he only saw my "chart." Barely looked at me as the patient.. He seemed more interested in updating my 'chart' vs. seeing me as a patient. Leaving there, I felt my time was not as valuable as his time, made me wait for nothing. (I Had to give ONE star to have my review posted.)
