Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: At a young age, I knew that I wanted to be involved in the healthcare field. My mom and aunts were nurses and I loved the idea of providing care to others. As a multi-sport athlete in high school and a Division I soccer player, I was originally drawn to physical therapy and was pursing my doctorate in this field in college. However, I started working at my mom's hospital and the physicians there amazed me with their vast knowledge, compassion and dedication to their patients. I knew that was my calling and switched to biology/pre-med my junior year of college and the rest is history! What I want my patients to know about me: That I am here for you with open arms and open ears.
