Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I always knew I wanted a career helping others, and for a time I thought I might become a teacher since I especially enjoyed math and science in school. After some volunteer experiences in high school and college, I realized I could combine helping and teaching others in a career in medicine. I love working with all ages, so family medicine was the right field for me. I even get to teach a little with the residents and students at WellSpan York Hospital. What I want my patients to know about me: I want to make sure that my patients understand as much as possible about their medical problems to allow them to participate in maintaining their health.
