Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: My desire to pursue medicine came at an early age, witnessing my sister undergo multiple corrective surgeries for complications of polio that paralyzed her leg. In fact, my family immigrated to the United States to seek world-class medical care for my sister. I witnessed and identified with the compassion and empathy required to make a difference in people's lives. What I want my patients to know about me: On a personal note, originally from India, I have been a Pennsylvanian for over 40 years, settled in York in 1998 to raise two boys with my wife, Shefali.
