Dr Maria Rueda-Lara is the Medical Director of Psycho-Oncology at University of Miami/Sylvester, South Florida's only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. She specializes in the co-morbidity and psychiatric manifestations of cancer. At UM, she leads the training of medical students, residents, fellows, as well as psychology practicum students in the field of psycho-oncology. Dr Maria Rueda-Lara is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami (UM) Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry with an added qualification in the Subspecialty of Consultation-Liaison.
