Dr. Sanni completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious University of Chicago Hospitals where he had the honor of being selected as Chief Resident. He went on to do his Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship under some of the pioneers in the field at St. Louis University, Anheuser-Busch Eye Institute. Before starting in ophthalmology, Dr. Sanni completed three years of training in internal medicine. Dr. Sanni was one of the first surgeons performing Lasik and Intacs in the Syracuse and Watertown areas. His fellowship in refractive surgery gives Dr. Sanni a distinct advantage over other surgeons in the area.
My surgeon abandoned direct care - it actually was so obvious it was embarrassing to me. I wa s made to feel unwelcome even though I had been a long term patient (5+ yrs) patient if the practice. My healing process became complicated - I had multiple complications through the yet unresolved 6mos process (which should have taken 1-3 mos). My surgeon passed my care off to a PA with very limited Opthamoligy experience - and absolutely none in micro-implant surgery. The surgeon refused to personally examine my eye but was willing to determine treatment based on the verbal info recd from the PA. This was not discussed with me and I would not have agreed if it had been. I was a ooor candidate for the procedure and am now forced to find another physician willing to take me as a patient.
