Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I love the procedural aspect of GI. I was an engineering major in college and have always enjoyed things that are more “hands-on.” I also like that it has a nice balance of both inpatient and outpatient work.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
I really enjoyed working with inflammatory bowel disease patients while in fellowship and hope to carry that over while I am in practice.
Where did you study?
Undergrad: Duke University, Medical School: University of IL, Internal Medicine Residency: Medical College of Wisconsin, GI Fellowship: Baylor University Medical Center.
What certifications do you hold?
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I love traveling and try to leave the country and explore somewhere new any chance I get. I am also a big Chicago sports fan and am always up for watching a good football or baseball game.
Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English?
Hindi and Spanish.
