Veer Chahwala, M.D. received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science after receiving his bachelor of science in chemistry from Oglethorpe University where he graduated as valedictorian. He finished his general surgery training at the University of Miami and then completed his fellowship in vascular surgery from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Chahwala has published numerous scholarly articles in medical journals as well as contributed his expertise in medical textbook chapters and presented his work at numerous medical conferences. He is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Chahwala treats all areas of arterial and venous disease including carotid endarterectomy and stenting, dialysis access creation and maintenance, open and endovascular treatment of complex aortic aneurysms, aortic and iliac occlusive disease, peripheral artery bypass and stenting, venous ulcers, varicose veins, venous thromboembolism, and thoracic outlet syndrome. He has a special interest in complex aortic aneurysms, carotid artery interventions, and venous insufficiency and thromboembolism. In his spare time, Dr. Chahwala enjoys soccer, baseball, golf, reading, watching football and enjoying anything outdoors. Dr. Chahwala welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
