Eugene Chang
Dr. Eugene Chang joined MUSC Women's Care as a maternal fetal medicine specialist in 2005 and has focused on fetal complications in pregnancy since that time. Dr. Chang graduated undergrad from the University of Virginia. He graduated medical school from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. His residency and fellowship training were completed at the Medical University of South Carolina.Dr. Chang focused most of his research efforts on detecting growth abnormalities and ways to prevent cerebral palsy in at-risk unborn babies while maintaining an interest in detecting and evaluating fetal abnormalities and helping families manage these pregnancies. Recently he has also pursued training in order to offer treatment for twin-twin transfusions.Dr. Change knows that many medical specialists can be needed during such pregnancies, making coordination challenging. In complex cases, for instance, balancing the best care for both mother and baby can be difficult. For this reason, he partnered with pediatric cardiologist Dr. Sinai Zyblewski to create MUSC Health's Advanced Fetal Care Center.Dr. Chang's interests include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, preterm birth, intrauterine growth restriction, thrombophilia, and ultrasound oxidative stress.Services
