Mamais-Raptis primary concern is profit, not the patient’s best interest. I went for my annual physical which included free CBC, lipid panel (which she neglected to do and I had to go to a laboratory on a separate occasion) and vitamin D. The only blood tests I requested was Iron. Without my consent or even asking me if I had done other blood tests at specialists, she went ahead and ordered a laundry list of unnecessary blood tests (A1C, Vitamin B, TSH, Lipase etc.) and repeated tests I had already done at my endocrinologist’s office. Then, I received a huge bill for the tests. I called the office and was told the bill would be taken care of and instead got passed around the office without my issue being resolved. I am a healthy and very fit 49 year old female. Mamais-Raptis may have gained some money but she lost a patient and I would never refer her office to anyone.
Wonderful doctor, especially for adolescents and young adults. Very caring, takes the time to discuss things, calls with test results. Excellent with spectrum disorder kids who need reassurance and kindness. She is the best doctor for fearful or young patients too. Highly recommended.
