He earned a medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed a residency at Columbia University in New York City. He also completed fellowships in clinical cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He is board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He speaks English.
