Dina Goytia-Leos, MD, FACP, is board certified in Internal Medicine and practices with San Antonio Medical Associates.
Dr. Leos strives, within the first few minutes of a visit, to establish what her patient wants to achieve from their time together. Knowing what their goal is for the visit—whether it’s an acute issue or a chronic disease follow-up—ensures she can meet their needs and build a plan of action.
A trip to South America with her parents when she was a young girl initially got Dr. Leos thinking about becoming a doctor someday. “I was amazed by the poverty I saw. I thought it would be fun to help people,” says Dr. Leos. Since deciding to become a physician, she was drawn to internal medicine. “The investigation—being a detective—that’s the fun part. You never know what’s behind door number two. It’s a constant challenge,” she says.
Since joining Methodist Physicians in October 2019, Dr. Leos, Dr. Manuel Vogt and Nurse Practitioner Sunny Lee see patients in Alamo Heights and Methodist Hospital Metropolitan.
