After a residency in neurology at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, Dr LaFaver completed a fellowship in movement disorders at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She went on to complete a clinical and research fellowship at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, part of the U.S. National Institute of Health. Dr LaFaver is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, and a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
