Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I initially chose the field of nursing because it offers such as broad array of opportunity. I wanted to work directly with patients and make a positive impact on their lives. As I grew and advanced in my nursing role, I discovered my desire to work specifically with women so I pursued a women's health nurse practitioner (WHNP) degree. My career as a WNHP now allows me the opportunity to help women from adolescence through adulthood meet their health care needs from the preventative care through diagnostic care. What I want my patients to know about me: Patients can expect a good listener and someone they can trust and confide in.
