Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. I was drawn to medicine not only for my love of science, but also for the ability to interact with people in order make a difference in their lives. I chose primary care because it allows me to really build a strong, trusting connection with patients and their families. I love the concept of true continuity of care and preventative medicine to keep patients living their best lives. As someone who was born and raised in beautiful rural Pennsylvania, I knew I wanted to stay local to practice medicine.
