Dr Jenkins completed his primary schooling, medical school, and surgical training in South India. He consistently ranked first and won gold medals in his high school, college, and medical school.
He practiced Private Surgery for five years in his hometown m India, and then moved to England to pursue higher surgical training at the University of Manchester, England Dr. Jenkins later became a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr Jenkins originally planned to return to India in order to grow his practice, but was influenced by his sister, a practicing physician, to move to the United States. Her success in the United States highlighted the opportunities available to Dr Jenkins, which he capitalized upon immediately as he arrived. He started Surgical Residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He soon received credit from the American Board of Surgery for his previous overseas training, skipped one year and moved to the University of Missouri-Kansas City, to complete the remainder of his U.S Surgical Residency. After practicing in Minnesota, Neosho, MO, and Southeast Kansas, Dr. Jenkins moved to Florida.
Dr. Jenkins takes great pride in his continuous growth as a surgeon, having led the training and deployment of robotic surgery in Southeast Kansas.
Dr. Jenkins is certified by the American Board of Surgery is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons England.
Dr. Jenkins credits a lot of his growth and success to his chief mentors in his career, including Dr. Clive Grant M.O, Endocrine Surgeon at Mayo Clinic? Rochester, Dr Charles Van\Nay M.O of UMKC, and Dr. George Paley M.D of Manchester, England to name a few.
Dr. Jenkins is married to Anitha Jenkins, who has a bachelor's degree in business management and is an avid horticulturist She manages the family and takes care of their younger son, A J. who is in the tenth grade. The Jenkins family has another son SanJay, who works at an eCommerce startup in Fayetteville, AR He has one sister who is a physician in Florida. His father and mother are both deceased.
