Courtney L. Kraus, M.D., is Knights Templar Eye Foundation Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr. Kraus specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, including amblyopia (lazy eye), with a particular interest in pediatric cataract and corneal diseases. She has enjoyed participating in surgical mission trips to underserved areas in the developing world.
Dr. Kraus received her medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she also completed her residency in ophthalmology after an internship in internal medicine at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Missouri. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Storm Eye Institute at The Medical University of South Carolina.
