Engaging with Debbie was a terrific experience. I was approaching the facility as if i was going to be affirmed for the first time in my life. I waited for many years for my affirmation/surgery and be the queen that i suppose to be. I waited a good 14 years while on hormones. I expected for Debbie to have some more empathy for me when coming to my discussion to do vaginoplasty first knowing my current condition mentally, physically and more caring for my dysphoric well being. I liked how she explained the surgeries well to me and to my peer counselor. I gave my letter, grieving my current conditioning and support and she insisted that maybe with a sever surgery that i should have some assist living, a place with after care, in addition to the care plan that i will provide when scheduled. She wants to adjust my brain storming and discission making with my doctor at Lyon Martin, Dr Seer. She Wants to go against that and recommends that i do breast augmentation while on a wait list for vaginoplasty. This was really heart breaking news but did not break me down, it inspired me to persist and work with her. She says this is a process in which i can heal in two weeks an in two months i can be up for vaginoplasty or on a wait list. I want a total of 5 surgeries. She can proceed with a total of 4. I feel that it was not what i expected, yet shocking, she request it will get me going and put me through my transition. This meets my goals and time is in order for me. She understands the constraints and says she can do the surgeries orderly over the years with me. I left the consult with an good impression but not in high energy. When i hear something back and get things going maybe the nervousness of dysphoria can go away. My Dysphoria is high and is causing mental tension is why i wanted to prioritize my surgeries my way but i understand her caution to a degree, with confusion. Debbie appears to be a really good doctor by the way. She she is a good listener and take entitative of what going on with me and gets enlighten. She did mentioned that she promotes during that booths during pride and may have recognized my peer counselor from there. She seems willing to work with me. That made me excited the most to rid my self of my of insecurities, physical disability and pursue a new life affirmed i appreciate the opportunity.
