Leslie E. Hirsig, M.D. is an assistant professor of radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Hirsig received her bachelor of science at Emory University and medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She completed her intern year in internal medicine at Carney Hospital in Dorchester, Massachusetts (an affiliate of Tufts University School of Medicine). She then returned to Gainesville for diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Florida. Her additional fellowship training in pediatric radiology was obtained at Texas Children’s Hospital with Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Hirsig is currently board eligible for the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology.Dr. Hirsig’s primary clinical interests include pediatric body imaging, ultrasound, and fetal MRI.
