We use the most advanced treatments, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy, to ensure optimal healing. Our goal is to heal your wound within 12 to 14 weeks and to help you prevent it from coming back.
Our wound healing team includes plastic and general surgeons, podiatrists, infectious disease and family medicine physicians, advanced practice nurse clinicians and nurses certified by the American Board of Wound Management. This certification identifies our nurses as experts in the treatment of acute and chronic wounds, the impact of chronic health conditions on wound healing, wound management, and prevention strategies.
You’ll also have access to other specialists you may need, such as vascular surgeons, physical therapists, footwear experts (pedorthotists) and others who can aid the wound healing process.
Wound Healing Center–Muhlenberg is home to two state-of-the-art hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers. Our nurses are certified by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology, indicating they are experts in caring for patients undergoing this treatment. Note that a physician referral is not always needed for wound care but is required for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
We offer both inpatient and outpatient wound and ostomy care services at this location and at Wound Healing Center–Cedar Crest.
