Diane Stevens is a physical therapist at the University of Vermont Medical Center. She specializes in oncology rehabilitation, orthopedics, and pulmonary rehabilitation. She treats patients with vertigo and musculoskeletal pain using treatments such as manual therapy. Her research interests include outcome measures.
Diane chose to be a physical therapist when she was 5 years old due to the influence of her father. She finds it rewarding when her patients are able to perform a task they have not been able to do in a long time, are able to manage their disease symptoms better, and are safer moving or their symptoms/pain have resolved.
Diane is proud of being part of developing
Steps to Wellness
and the
oncology rehabilitation program
. She is also the first physical therapist to join the
pulmonary rehabilitation
team. She enjoys being a member of all these teams and providing the best quality care possible.
Diane loves helping people maximize their function and regain their independence, and giving them the tools they need to enjoy life to the fullest. Her special interests in oncology and pulmonary rehabilitation have provided her the opportunity to work with incredible people despite some difficult diagnoses and challenges. She believes in working together to achieve goals that are most important to each individual she sees.
