Brittany “RAY” N. Gannon, PhD, MSN, AGPCNP-BC is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the School or Nursing and a LINK nurse affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia Doctors Nurse Practitioner Group. Dr. Gannon completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Science from the University of Florida, College of Nursing in 2018. Consecutively, she completed 1 year of an interdisciplinary T32 Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies at Columbia University and New York Psychiatric Institute. To date, her research has focused on Adults Aging with HIV (AAWH) in the Rural South, including issues of: health disparities, health equity, stigma, loneliness and access. She has utilized a mixed-methods approach to her study design – incorporating various methods of evaluation: Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Clinically, she received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Florida, College of Nursing and is a Board Certified Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP-BC). She has over 6 years of experience working bedside and in integrative clinic-based settings. Using a comprehensive health approach, her clinical focus includes: wellness, prevention, mindfulness, LGBTQ health, and complex chronic disease management. As a clinician and researcher, Dr. Gannon believes in bridging the two fields to impact practice and creation of innovative nursing science.
