In addition to his position with Summit Health, Neal E. Luppescu, MD, FACG, is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers University - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick.
Dr. Luppescu has practiced previously at Somerset Medical Center, Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, St. Peter's Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and John F. Kennedy Medical Center, all located in New Jersey.
Dr. Luppescu says, "I became inspired to study medicine when a close friend was debilitated with a neurological disease." He adds, "I find it gratifying to fight back against the unfairness and suffering disease can cause." Dr. Luppescu takes time with each patient and believes in delivering personal care that considers each patient as an individual.
A fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, Dr. Luppescu is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Medical Society of New Jersey, and Somerset County Medical Society. He has been featured in New Jersey Monthly "Top Doctor" listings.
When he is not working with his patients, Dr. Luppescu enjoys classical piano, jazz, and 70s rock and roll. He also enjoys museums, cooking, and tennis.
